Designed to replace missing teeth

<highlight-peru>Dentures are appliances designed to replace missing teeth and can be used in that capacity as a partial, to replace two or three teeth that sit side by side, or they can be used as a full denture, replacing the entire upper or lower row of teeth.<highlight-peru>

Made of metal or plastic acrylic, dentures can be colour matched to your existing teeth and are custom-fit to ensure the greatest level of functionality and natural appearance.

Dentures have an added benefit to replacing lost teeth in that they offer replacement support to cheeks, lips, and tongue, restoring your former appearance and aiding in clear speech.

Our Mansion House dentists are experienced in several partial, and complete denture systems and will work with you to find the most appropriate solution for you.

Complete dentures

<highlight-peru>If you have lost all your teeth in either the upper or lower jaw, the options to replace them are generally limited to a complete denture which is removable, or implant supported dentures.<highlight-peru>

While dental implants can offer the ideal solution for some patients with missing teeth, they may not be suitable for everyone and our dentists will work with you to find the best dental treatment option.

Partial dentures

Modern removable dentures have moved on leaps and bounds in recent years and can provide you with an aesthetic, comfortable and functional solution to rejuvenate your smile.

Your dentures questions answered

Are there alternative options to dentures?

Depending on how many teeth you have left and what your personal preferences are, you may be able to replace missing teeth with a dental bridge or dental implants. Our dentist will discuss the most suitable options with you at your initial consultation.

Is it difficult to eat while wearing dentures?

It does take time to get used to wearing new dentures. We recommend you chew slowly and start with soft foods cut into small pieces, gradually introducing new foods as you get used to your new dentures.

How long do dentures last?

As long as they’re well taken care of, dentures can last several years. In some cases, dentures will need to be relined or remade, as the shape of your mouth changes so regular check-ups with your Mansion House Dental Practice dentist are important.
